One of India's biggest Fiesta,the International Film festival of kerala will be inaugurated by one of its own Malayalam superstar actor Mohanlal.Mohanlal has been associated with the event throughout the years.Last year he released a book on the life of Veteran actor Madhu titled-A Darling lover of Silver Screen.
International Film festival of kerala (IFFK) was one of the chief events of the academy. In fact Government has started IFFK in a modest way from 1994 onwards. Under the academy the event has emerged as one of the important film festivals of the world.IFFK has a competition section for films from the Asian,African and Latin american films. The non competition films includes inter alia contemporary world cinema and films of great film makers.
